about Le Corbusier LC4 Lounger
Le Corbusier Chaiselongue LC4
The Chaiselongue LC4 by designer Le Corbusier originates from the glamourous time of Art Deco. Underneath the soft cushioned reclining surface are two tubes in the shape of skids, made of polished steel. In combination with the base it can be used in various positions. The unique construction of the base and the reclining surface result in an exclusive and comfortable ideal of elegance.
Le Corbusier, born as Charles-Éduard Jeanneret-Gris, designed the Chaiselongue LC4 in the 1930s in colaboration with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret and the designer Charlotte Perriand. They presentated the lounger at the stand of L?équipement d?une habitation at the autumn salon in Paris.
