Panton Chair

Verner Panton, Danish designer, and architect, had such a big impact on the design of the 1960s and 1970s, as hardly no one else has had. He was one of the first designers who transformed Pop Art from visual arts to a movement of architecture and interior design. His works, as the Verner Panton Chairs, are characterized by the courageous use of strong colors. A very outstanding sample of the style is legendary Panton Chair. The Panton Chair is characterized by its curved shape, looking like an "S".  Opposed to mostly every (design) chair, Panton Chair isn't based on four legs, but stands on the lower level of the cast. Panton Chair is not only particular for its shape. Also, the then revolutionary material "plastic" was outstanding.

It is obvious, that the Panton Chair Classic is made of plastic. More precisely, the first Panton Chair was made of polyester enhanced with glass fiber. This made possible for the designer to create a Chair, which was not underlying any construction limitation due to material. Due to that fact, it is possible that the Panton Chair has its particular shape. But not only visually, Panton Chair is an eye-catcher. The ergonomic shape makes the Panton Chair a very comfortable chair. Also, as built without legs, your legs have full freedom. Therefore, Panton Chair is not only an eye-catcher in every room, but also invites you to rest. Not every design furniture is able to unite both components, but Panton Chair does.
